Great post, really insightful and some very creative ideas on how to limit spam and verify users. I really like the idea of giving people Pleb (firstly) and an NFT (secondly). I also like how Plebbit will incorporate verifying web 2 people as this is where it's success will ultimately come from. Great job. Very bullish on the platform as a whole and look forward to seeing it develop.

I thought so too, unless they've another project lined up that promises something. Genuinely believe the roadmap for Pleb is quite bullish and should easily move through the lower numbers once things pick up for alts, even if eth alone pumps and there's no MVP etc.

Youtube was very cool until the normies came. That said, there are other projects which preserve the original objective.

Luke Smith discusses the phenomenon where technology projects, such as Linux and Bitcoin, lose sight of their original objectives as they gain mainstream popularity. He argues that as these projects attract a broader audience, they often undergo changes that prioritize mass appeal over foundational principles. This shift can lead to compromises in areas like decentralization, simplicity, and user autonomy. Smith cautions that the influx of new users and contributors may introduce conflicting values, potentially diluting the project's core mission. He emphasizes the importance of maintaining the original goals and philosophies of tech projects, even in the face of growing popularity, to preserve their integrity and purpose. What do you think?
