It showed that the RKI wasn't as independent as it claimed to be; that many of the rules implemented, such as the 2G rule and the incidence thresholds for lockdowns, were arbitrarily chosen by politicians, and that they knew that masks and the vaccine weren't as effective as they claimed to justify the measures. If you're not a total idiot, you knew most of that already but at least we have confirmation now.
