I've heard rumours from my source that the announcement is very soon. They don't want to cannablise the christmas sales and are announcing the switch sometime in the first week of the new year. My source said they want to avoid the issues of no stock and scalpers taking advantage. They plan to have enough supply to meet all available demand. This allows them to start off this generation running whilst avoiding the problem with the ps5, where not releasing on PS4 would mean you lost out on a potential dozens of millions of sales.
