sure, here's the current roadmap. We are 3 devs:
- Esteban is working on the subplebbit uptime monitor, a dashboard that gives very important insights on what exactly makes the UX slower at times, like gateway reliability or subplebbit uptime. He's finished with the monitor currently, you can see it here: https://api.plebbit.online/ He's making a Dune dashboard for it. After this, I think he will improve the gateway fetching algorithm in the backend which should make the web clients feel much smoother and faster (I guess everyone will start saying "wow the apps are so fast now" again). Then I think he will work on a proof of concept of a delegated routing implementation, which would allow p2p in the web clients which would basically be the endgame for a perfect web client UX (posting to online subs never fails and is always as fast as possible, fetching never fails).
- Rinse is working on rewriting the backend completely with a new safer schema to include types, this basically makes the backend as stable as possible for the long term. After this, I think he will work on implementing a design for tipping in the apps that Esteban proposed here https://github.com/plebbit/plebbit-js/issues/23 there's also other issues that he could work on, including implementing pubsub voting (gasless) of default subs using the pleb token (https://github.com/plebbit/plebbit-js/issues/25). Rinse is also planning on cofounding a startup with me to manage and moderate a non-custodial RPC service that would be enabled in all web clients, allowing users to rent full nodes remotely to create subs from mobile. He talked about using a telegram bot for the first experimental version of this service, but I'm not sure yet on the design.
- I'm working on fixing a lot of bugs on Seedit and Plebchan, and also I'm about to add "anon mode" to Plebchan which allows you to post with a newly generated address per each thread, automatically. I'm also adding avatars to Plebchan, and a new "New Posts" button on Seedit, among other things. After that, I plan on adding a feature specific to the android app version of Plebchan, an "upload" button for media files in your phone, that automatically posts the media to an image hosting in the background, posting the direct link on plebbit. After that, I plan to work on a public RPC service for both web clients, similar to Infura for Metamask, that will let you use a full plebbit node remotely by default, enabling sub creation on mobile devices (e.g., enables the "create your own community" button on web). After that, I'd work on the native mobile version of both clients. What's different with a native client is that the UI is as smooth as it can be, much smoother than the web client, and it can run in the background, and it can be published on app stores like F-Droid.

Plebgram dev is a literal monkey incapable of fixing his tg bot. Everything else works. Esteban should replace him with a random fiverr dev.

I dare you to try this for a whole meal

Well apparently PlebGram comments donβt post to Plebbit so it really is ogre. Unstoppable.Social new norm ie-friendly third party skin also needs a lot of work. I think the dev team is trying to optimize for speed by gathering and reviewing metrics but that seems challenging and IPFS seems to be a bottleneck.
