update: it can't be done as far as we know
I think if a fork adds a nonsense random number and their users post GETs, we should just remove those posts from our subs as they are confusing and annoying. If a fork figures out how to do it properly, by figuring out how to count posts from the sub database on IPFS in an efficient way, then we will adopt that feature

I thought about it and it can only make sense if we only show post numbers, no c/cid, so the UI is identical to 4chan, and if we can convert post numbers to CIDs from URLs (they have to be actual indexes of comments from the sub database, from the protocol). Any other solution is too ugly, fake or confusing, imo.

its over for plebbit. weve waited nearly 3 years and we havent even hit 1b mcap.
