I thought about it and it can only make sense if we only show post numbers, no c/cid, so the UI is identical to 4chan, and if we can convert post numbers to CIDs from URLs (they have to be actual indexes of comments from the sub database, from the protocol). Any other solution is too ugly, fake or confusing, imo.

if that can't work, then we shouldn't do it. A plebchan fork will eventually add post numbers for fun, becuase it's a strong feature in imageboard culture, so it's guaranteed to happen. Once that happens, plebchan's default subplebbit list will start to be contaminated with GETs that our users can't see, so we should simply ensure that all subs are moderated to remove those posts. We would have to enforce GETs removals as a rule in plebchan's sub list.
