Sloppa doesnt sound so bad, base ingredients are usually pretty healthy. Not comparable to that other gunk imo

Rinse would have to add the post number value to the backend, an index counting the comment in the subplebbit database. Then Esteban would have to add a hook to his plebbit-react-hooks repo that would allow plebchan to convert the post number value of a post to its CID, so it can be used in the post URL, and plebchan users would be able to create URLs with post numbers, redirecting to the correct URL with the CID. Then I'd implement the post number API and the hook in the frontend, to finally make plebchan look identical to 4chan.

if that can't work, then we shouldn't do it. A plebchan fork will eventually add post numbers for fun, becuase it's a strong feature in imageboard culture, so it's guaranteed to happen. Once that happens, plebchan's default subplebbit list will start to be contaminated with GETs that our users can't see, so we should simply ensure that all subs are moderated to remove those posts. We would have to enforce GETs removals as a rule in plebchan's sub list.

I thought about it and it can only make sense if we only show post numbers, no c/cid, so the UI is identical to 4chan, and if we can convert post numbers to CIDs from URLs (they have to be actual indexes of comments from the sub database, from the protocol). Any other solution is too ugly, fake or confusing, imo.
